About Us

Established in 2001, Rainbow Riders provides a program that assists young people in the Barwon region who live with disadvantage develop life skills that will enable them to reach their potential. Rainbow Riders works in partnership with families, schools, and local care agencies to support young people whose lives are affected by disadvantage.

What We Do
The core program is based on the principles of Equine Assisted Growth and Learning. Horses are used as a tool for personal growth, understanding the impact of behaviour on others, problem solving and developing nurturing behaviours.

Other projects, such as camping and multi media work, provide opportunities for building social skills, understanding teamwork and building a sense of belonging. Activities are also undertaken to allow young people to have experiences that would not normally be available to them.

Who we help…
